Surgery Opening Hours

Please note we have late appointments which may appeal to our commuters Tuesday evening with a nurse or doctor, ( we can not do any blood tests during this clinic.)

Open Surgery

We offer an Emergency Surgery daily 11.00 hrs-11.30am.  you can attend the surgery without an appointment but please be aware this is for  EMERGENCY CONDITIONS  which will NOT wait until our next bookable appointment. We also offer a telephone triage Friday afternoon, if you feel you need to be seen with a condition which will not wait. The doctor will telephone you and if  you need to be seen you will be given an appointment time.

You may see which ever doctor you choose by appointment.  Please phone 01264 738368 for a routine appointment.  If you are unable to keep your appointment, please inform us as soon as possible, so that it can be offered to another person. 

If you wish to see a particular doctor or nurse please let the Receptionist know.  We will always try to ensure this is possible, but there maybe occasions when it is not. We encourage patients to see the same doctor for a particular problem.

Telephone Contact with Doctors or Nurses

Often your health related questions can be answered by our doctors or nurses over the phone.  Sometimes your doctor of nurse may ask you to phone in a progress report. Please ask at reception if you wish to book a telephone consultation with a Doctor or Nurse.

Home Visits

These are for patients too unwell to attend the clinic.  It is helpful if requests are made before 11am so doctors can organise their diaries.  If at all possible, please make every effort to attend the surgery as our practice covers a large area and the doctors can see up to three patients in the surgery in the time it takes to make one home visit.

A doctor or nurse may phone you back as it may be that your problem can be dealt with by telephone advice, or that it would be more appropriate to send a nurse, or indeed arrange a hospital attendance.

House visits are only available for patients who are housebound because of illness or disability.

Please remember that several patients can be seen in the practice in the time that it takes to make one home visit. There are also better facilities for examining and treating patients at the Health Centre.
